Word DocX Template Instructions
- Open your Word DocX template file.
- Enter data in the label cells and format the font type, size, and color as needed.
- To add a background color, change the color of the entire page. This ensures the color “bleeds” beyond the border of the label cell.
- To prevent printing the default label borders, select each shape and press the “delete” key to remove the border. You can still enter text in each cell.
- When ready to print:
- Select File > Print.
- Print your file at 100% scale — do not scale to fit the page.
- Use the file’s default margin settings.
Please note: All The Shipping Store label templates have a 1 millimeter (mm) tolerance for error. For best printing results:
- Ensure your label pages are properly loaded into the paper tray.
-
Extend your design 1–2 mm beyond the label cell border to avoid unprinted edges on the final label.
Adobe Illustrator Template Instructions
- Open your Adobe Illustrator template file.
- The top layer, named “Template” is the template layer. You may hide this layer as needed.
- Add your artwork or data to “Layer 1.”
- Ensure all data is within each label cell for proper printing.
- When ready to print:
- Save the file as a PDF.
- Open your newly saved PDF file.
- Click File > Print.
- Print at 100% scale — do not scale to fit the page.
