Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find my template code, and where can I find the templates?

You can find your template code on the product listing, in your order confirmation, or printed on the label packaging or included insert.

You can also find it at theshippingstore.com/templates. Enter the label size in the search bar or use the left-hand filters to find your size. Click the product tile to see your template code and available formats ready for download.

What are the available template formats?

Our templates are optimized for Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Adobe Illustrator, and Canva; we also offer a PDF version that performs best in Adobe Acrobat. You can find step-by-step printing instructions for all four programs in our Help center.

What are other free template options?

Spartan Industrial label templates are free to use, no purchase required. While some programs may require a paid license or subscription, our Google Docs templates offer subscription-free editing.

Other software may allow editing of different template formats, but we cannot guarantee compatibility or print quality outside the program it was designed for.

Can I use this template in Apple Pages or another editing program?

We recommend using the program each template is designed for (e.g. use the Word template in Microsoft Word) and are unable to guarantee the print quality of templates edited in other programs. Not all word-processors and design programs have the required editing capabilities, which can cause misalignments while printing.

Can I use these templates on my phone?

We do not recommend using these templates on mobile devices or tablets. For full functionality, editing, and printing capabilities, we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer.

Can I print these at my local print shop?

FedEx, Staples, UPS, OfficeMax, Office Depot, and local copy centers have label printing capabilities that vary by location. It’s best to call your local print shop to see if they can print your labels.
